Updating an installed version of MC-SET

The download file on this page will allow you to update an existing system to the latest version. This will not change the activation status of the system.

Please note that this upgrade is only valid for recent versions of the program, installed after September 2005.

Do upgrade a system first installed after Sep. 2005 we suggest you execute the following steps:

1. create a complete backup of your existing system and data (in the Program files and your own user directory). For information about the location please look at the properties of the MC-SET link on your desktop.
2. download the file from the list below to a temporary directory
3. run (execute) the file from this temporary directory
4. if at any stage you think you encountered a problem, please feel free to contacts us, using any of the methods in the Contact us page.

Please note that you will not be able to install the system again to the same machine. If you need to do so, do not delete the old version, and Contact us for instructions on how to do it.

To upgrade an older MC-SET follow these steps:

1. move the software token to the floppy disk. Contact us if you need help in doing this.
2. delete the old installation, usually at c:\mc-set. Keep a backup of any files that you need, but these will not be compatible with the new version. Contact us if you need help in reading/converting old files.
3. run the installation program. This will detect that no system is installed, and will install the complete MC-SET system.
